Sexuality or sexual orientation is commonly defined as who you are attracted to sexually. Some people also include who is attracted to you, but for simplification I won't be discussing that part.
My orientation is toward enlightened, high beings whom I can communicate with non-verbally. I do not have a sexual orientation toward either gender in general, however, since that kind of attraction (for me) can only exist after I am emotionally attracted to someone. I can be physically attracted to men but I cannot connect emotionally to them like I can with women. Likewise, I cannot be physically attracted to women I don't have a deep connection with. In other words, I could have a one night stand with Zac Efron and have it mean absolutely nothing beyond the physical - but I could never do that with a woman.
Many people in society are under the impression that FTM people all start out as lesbians and when they transition to male, they become straight males. This is far from the truth. Sexual Orientation and Gender are not one and the same. Some FTM people start out identifying as a lesbian pre-transition and once transitioned identify as a heterosexual male. Others go from identifying as a lesbian pre-transition and end up identifying as a homosexual male. And yes, there are many FTM people who have always been attracted only to men - going from a heterosexual female to a gay male after transition.
Anything is possible. Just because someone is FTM does not mean they have a lesbian past nor that they are attracted to females.
